The American Romanian Orthodox Youth

(Founded 1950)

Founded in 1950, The American Romanian Orthodox Youth (AROY) is the national youth auxiliary of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America.  Some of the AROY's purposes are:  to learn about, practice and promote our Holy Orthodox Faith; to work for unity among all youth in the Episcopate; to preserve our Romanian heritage; and to serve our Episcopate.

AROY hosts many activities throughout the year, both locally within the parishes and nationally.   The National events include:  the Fall (football-soccer) Sports Tournament, Camp Vatra, AROY Sundays, and the National Conference.  AROY contributes to many projects including the Solia Newspaper, Seminarian and Stanitz Scholarships and Project Vatra.

Any young person within a parish of the Romanian Episcopate is considered a member of AROY.  You must be at least twelve (12) years of age to be considered an active, voting member.
