Falling Asleep of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Theodosius

 

This morning, Monday, October 19, His Beatitude Metropolitan Theodosius, former Archbishop of Washington and Metropolitan of All America and Canada, fell asleep in the Lord. The Holy Synod of Bishops directs that a panikhida be served for him as soon as possible in all Churches and Chapels of the Orthodox Church in America, and on the fortieth day of his repose, November 27.

The schedule of services for his funeral is as follows:

Wednesday, October 21, 2020 - St. John the Baptist, Canonsburg, PA
1:00-6:45 pm: Arrival of the body and visitation
7:00 pm: Panikhida

Thursday, October 22, 2020 - St. John the Baptist, Canonsburg, PA
1:00-5:45 pm: Visitation
6:00 pm: Office of the Burial for a Hierarch

Friday, October 23, 2020  - Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration, Ellwood City, PA
10:00 am: Hierarchical Divine Liturgy followed immediately by Interment

Please note that due to COVID restrictions, only invited clergy may serve at the services. For all of these services, clergy and faithful should also be sure to maintain all safety protocols and precautionary measures.
