During September and October 2021, His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel appealed to the parishes of the Episcopate to take special collections to assist those who suffered the effects of Hurricane Ida. The Episcopate received a total of $24,072.28  which was distributed to victims of the hurricane and to International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) to help those who were impacted by the storm.
