The responses were sung by the Pan-Orthodox Choir of Pittsburgh, directed by Archpriest Thomas Soroka.

In his homily, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Washington-New York and Eastern America (Serbian Patriarchate) spoke about our calling to love one another as Christ loves us, emphasizing that where love is present, God is also present.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Elpidophoros presented Anne van den Berg with the Medal of St. Theodora, the Assembly’s highest recognition, in appreciation of her dedicated service to Orthodox Christian unity in the United States. Mark Arey, the other recipient of the medal in 2026, was unable to attend in person.

Eleftherios Constantine, Dean of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, welcomed the assembled hierarchs and conveyed the well wishes of the local clergy and faithful for a fruitful meeting of the Assembly.
