From the East
Follow the Ohio Turnpike to Exit 59; follow US23 North toward Ann Arbor until you reach I-94. Take I-94 West toward Chicago to Exit 150 (Grass Lake). Turn left (South) onto Mt Hope Rd. Go approximately 2 miles and turn right (West) at the stop light (Michigan Ave). Go through the village of Grass Lake and turn left (South) onto Wolf Lake Rd (Frank’s Shop-Rite on corner). Go approximately 1 mile and turn right (West) onto Page Ave. Go approximately 1/4 mile and turn left (South) onto Grey Tower Rd. The Chancery/Vatra Românească is approximately 1/2 mile down the road on the left hand side.

From the West
Follow I-94 East to Exit 142 (US127 South – Hudson). Follow US127 South to the second exit (Page Ave). Turn left (East) onto Page Ave, pass through the town of Michigan Center, and continue for approximately 6.5 miles. Turn right (South) onto Grey Tower Rd. If you reach the end of Page Ave (Wolf Lake Rd) you went 1/4 mile too far.

Our History

The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America traces its roots to the early Romanian immigrants who brought their Orthodox faith to the United States. Through dedication and perseverance, the community established parishes that continue to serve Orthodox Christians today.
